I've resisted starting a blog, since I doubt if I have anything earthshaking to say. On the other hand, maybe it's not about what I have to say to others but what I have to say to myself.

- I have a wife of 35 years and two great kids. I look forward to running marathons again after I lose weight and resolve my physical ills. I've worked for the same company now for 25+ years - a rarity in the software field. I wouldn't mind moving on, but at my age it's much more difficult. I had a brief foray with Google but they dissed me after a disappointing interview: who says "I'm sorry if this question seems too simple" and then asks you to derive the closed formula for the number of rooted, undirected binary trees with n nodes?
